It is very highly recommended that you upgrade your coupling for lifetime pumping. This coupling is so durable and will last you a lifetime.
The female steel coupling is equipped with double o-rings. The reason for having 2 o-rings is to prevent the leaks and cracks due to over-tightening.
It is highly recommended that whenever you are changing you steel female coupling, also change your steel male coupling. This is to ensure proper fit and optimum operation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: NEVER USE STEEL COUPLING WITH THE PLASTIC ONES. THEY WON’T FIT. FOR THIS REASON, IF YOU ARE SWITCHING TO STEEL COUPLINGS FOR THE 1ST TIME, YOU MUST CHANGE BOTH!! STEEL WITH STEEL AND PLASTIC WITH PLASTIC
